Tyra Banks Will Not Return To Modeling
Tyra Banks denied the reports she is returning to modeling.
The supermodel sparked speculation that she was returning to modeling after she signed a contract with IMG earlier this month. She has now reported that she will be working with the agency in a “broader capacity” but not as a model.
“I joined IMG for a bunch of reasons,” Tyra wrote on her official website. “I’m building my company and I realised there are a lot of companies that I can help and that can help me. I used to be with IMG five years ago and now it’s nice to return in a broader capacity.
“And to set the record straight, I’m not coming out of modelling retirement … IMG is such a huge company, there are many things I will be doing with them. Some fashion-related, but don’t expect to see me at any go-sees!”
Tyra also spoke of her collaboration with Italian Vogue which will feature America’s Next Top Model’s winner on its prestigious cover.
“Italian Vogue is it, when it comes to fashion magazines, and they’re going to put our winner on the COVER. No, not on page 173 next to the ad for anti-aging cream… ON THE COVER.
“This is huge. Put that together with the magnificent ALT (aka André Leon Talley) as the new judge and we’re sure to stay on the opposite of Dreckitude for many cycles to come!! Shaking with excitement over here!!.”

Edward Razek: Why Victoria’s Models Succeed Off The Runway
According to a study by Forbes.com if there are institutions that produce winners Victoria’s Secret is that to the modeling industry.
Gisele Bundchen, Heidi Klum and Tyra Banks are among the notable alumni of the Victoria’s Secret Brand who have achieved enormous success in the fashion industry.
Many fashion brands use famous actresses to market their product. Victoria’s Secret has shied away from that trend by using impossibly tall vixens that are comfortable sharing their bodies in lingerie. To do this as a career one must have a ton of confidence and fantastic physique. Edward Razek understands this probably more than anyone in the modeling industry.
“I try to encourage all of the women to get involved with the brand, to develop their communication skills and to watch the best examples, like Heidi, to see what they’ve done with their careers,” says Razek. “I am constantly looking for the next Tyra, Gisele or Heidi.”
Razek also understands the importance that his models are professionals. “The notion of girls partying all night and showing up late and throwing cellphones at chauffeurs, you won’t see it, period,” says Razek. While it is true that Naomi has spread her wings on the Victoria’s Secret Runways, it is apparent she didn’t learn her skills from VS. “There are too many good girls (out there) and we won’t deal with divas.”
Victoria’s Secret has also avoided the fashion trap of using anorexic looking models in its ad campaigns. It is true that VS models are leaner and taller than your average girl and they choose women with extraordinarily good looks but they use a fuller, more toned and athletic model than many brands do.
Whatever their secret is, the world loves VS models. Thank you Mr. Razek.

America’s Next Top Model Winner Will Score The Cover Of Vogue Italia
It seems that Vogue fashion editor Andre Leon Talley has brought some serious legitimacy to America’s Next Top model and the future of the contestants may be even brighter. Apparently the winner of the next ANTM will grace the cover of Italian Vogue. Italian Vogue is known for its racy fashion shoots and fashion edginess. This twist can take its winner to the next level in the fashion industry.
I personally hope there are contestants on the show that are great models and are appropriate for the magazine. I am pretty confident most of the models I see on the show may be America’s best drama queens but are not the best fashion talent America has to offer.

Dunno what to say about this one except Tyra Banks latest fashion statement left quite an impression – on her face.
At the French Vogue 90th anniversary party (yes I said 90th) supermodel Tyra Banks wanted to wear something very special. The former Victoria’s Secret Angel donned a mask on her face made of cut up stockings. On Tyra’s twitter page she asked her followers, “Guess how I made this French Vogue party mask? It’s homemade. How did I do it though? Guess? It was super cheap.”
Her followers made several guesses thinking it was perhaps a hairnet, curtains, underwear and a wig cap to name a few. Tyra finally alleviated the suspense and announced, “So French Vogue mask is sum cheap fishnet stockings I got n crazy store in Paris! I cut em up and made it y’all. N did my own hair and makeup.”
Other attendees included Alessandria Ambrosio, Gisele Bundchen, Lara Stone, Natalia Vodianova and Kate Moss in a Darth Vader Halloween mask. (Kidding.) But you know if she did it would be all the rage.
I have to wonder if one of her contestants on America’s Next Top Model did the same thing how quickly they would be out of the door?

Tyra seeks plus size models.
Supermodel turned mogul, Tyra Banks, has always said she wants to change what we consider beautiful. Her new modeling competition aims to do just that. This Fiercely Real Teen Model Search is aimed at teens between the ages of 13 and 19 who are any size between 12 and 20.
