Make the clothes look great! – photography Tips

Now that i have outlined some of the major responsibilities a photographer will come across it is important to remind you that the number one job of the fashion photographer is to make the clothes look great. Someone has hired you to shoot their project or perhaps a model wants to test with you to enhance his/her book and believes that you will deliver. Yes, it is great to be artistic. Yes, you want to make sure the light is right. Just don’t forget the most important thing is to make the clothes look great!

This can be done in numerous ways. Fashion photography comes in many different styles. Some photographers love accessories. Some photographers love shoes. A great fashion stylist is important. A great hairstylist is important. My favorite accessory is a great model. Often times in my pictures the models aren’t wearing any shoes or accessories. It is about the model and the clothing item. That’s it! I like to keep it simple. Sometimes it is solely about the shoes. Sometimes I dress them up and sometimes the models are dressed down. A wind machine may be necessary if it is a long flowy dress. Just don’t forget. Make the clothes look great!
