Is It Really Important To Be In Alexa Top 100000?
Is It Important To Be In Alexa Top 100000? It is important to want to be!
There are many different opinions floating around on the web whether it is important to want to have an Alexa rank under 100,000 with compelling arguments from both sides. I personally think it is very important. The naysayers say that Alexa rank can be manipulated by bots. This may be true. I personally do not know. What I do know is this. If you set a goal to get into the top 100000 on Alexa then you have set a goal. Many people would love to be on that list. If you are serious about your goal you will find ways to add content and value to your site. This naturally will increase your Alexa ranking. Once you have broken the 100000 goal the next think you will do is re-evaluate your goals. Perhaps you want to be ranked in Alexa’s top 50000 sites or perhaps even 10000 sites if you dream big!
If you want it bad enough and you are excited about it, the law of attraction will kick in and you will get there.
Here are a few tips on how to get into Alexa’s top 100000.
1. Install the Alexa toolbar (very important).
2. Blog about Alexa.
3. Add an Alexa rank widget to your site.
4. Join social networks.
5. Become very familiar with Facebook, Twitter, Digg and Stumble Upon.

The sneakiest breaking into a modeling agency story I ever heard. Guerilla warfare 101
Caution, I am not saying I condone this technique. I just want to share it with you.
About two years ago a guy called me to book a test shoot. We’ll call him “Roger”. Roger is an African American male model. He is approximately 5’8″ tall. When he called me he told me that he is represented by Ford models. He said he had heard about me through Ford and wanted to test shoot with me. Because of his height I did not believe him. I jumped onto my computer and logged into the Ford modeling agency website. Sure enough, Roger was listed there as a model with the agency. He was listed in the commercial department in Los Angeles.
Roger and I did a “Ralph Lauren Polo” style test shoot in the desert. During the shoot I asked him how did he get into Ford and he told me this amazing story.
“When I walked into Ford for the first time no one wanted me. None of the agencies in Los Angeles wanted me. I went to agency after agency and was rejected by every one and I felt frustrated. I decided to visit my brother in New York City. When I was there I got the idea to call Ford Los Angeles. I asked for the name of the men’s bookers and wrote them down. A few days later I was thumbing through a magazine when I got the idea to call Bruce Weber. I called his studio and said, “Hi, my name is Roger. I am with Ford Los Angeles (which I wasn’t) and Steve told me to go and see you. I have $4000.00 cash in my pocket right now and I want to know if you have time to see me for a quick model test.” One of his assistants put him on hold and within a few minutes he had an appointment with one of the best fashion photographers in the world.
The following week he visited another great fashion photographer for much less money and left New York.
When he returned to Los Angeles he reversed his game. He went to Ford’s open call and he said “Bruce Weber told me to see Steve at Ford.” The receptionist took the photos in and showed “Steve.” Steve responded, “Send him in! He’s perfect. We’re looking for a guy just like you!” A few minutes later our 5’8″ African American model had a new agent and has been working steadily ever since.
My point is this. Look at the movie, “The Color of Money,” or “Risky Business” with Tom Cruise. The movies are about hustling. Being busy. Trying hard. Same with “Rocky.” Hard work. Going for what you want. If you take the hustle out of these movies what do you have? A couple of guys playing pool and a washed up boxer. If your having trouble jump starting your career maybe your story should be interesting if you want to be heard. Go out there and get the best pics you can afford. Don’t sit on the couch if you don’t have an agent and wonder why the world isn’t being handed to you on a silver platter. Time to hustle.

How to become a successful fashion model.
I know what you want. You want to be a successful fashion model. You want to be the star of a fashion magazine. You see yourself walking the catwalks of Paris and being invited to the yachts of famous designers in Monte Carlo. You want to have the best clothes stuffed in your Parisian closets and to ride in the back of limos to Hollywood premiers. Who wouldn’t want to date Leonardo DiCaprio and live the life of the rich and famous. Sounds wonderful doesn’t it. It does. But 99% of the time it isn’t like that. So, wake up, smell the coffee and let’s talk about what it really takes to become a successful fashion model.
I know a couple guys and girls who have pulled off some serious stunts (I am talking about guerilla warfare techniques) to sneak into the backdoor of this business and I know models who have showed up at model agencies with no photographs at all and who are making a killing in this business. I want to share with you general information about modeling and also the tactics my friends have shared with me on the way up.
Keep in mind there are no guarantees in this business and anyone who promises to make you a star probably is trying to con you. There are surefire tips that you can harness to greatly increase your marketability in this industry.
I am very excited to start this fashion model discussion and teach you how to become a fashion model. Whether you want to be a Los Angeles model or be a part of a Los Angeles model agency, a New York model or become a part of a New York model agency, this valuable information can help you to make money modeling.
