Stock photography
As you shoot, overtime, you will accumulate a lot of pics if you shoot as often as I do. There is a good deal of money to be made in stock fashion photography. From a couple kissing in the park to a travel photo or family picnic there are limitless avenues to pursue with your stock images. In order to sell them you will need a sales agent. Your agent may be as large as Corbis or it can be a smaller mom and pop business that sells images to magazines. Don’t be surprised if your agent takes 50% of the sale. This is not uncommon. Also from experience you will find out that you are not going to get rich off a single sale. Residual sales are what you are looking for. When a magazine licenses an image for 1x usage the image is more than likely avail for other other magazines too. Your agent will know the details when it comes to licensing restrictions. Also you will have to have permission from the subject when photographing people before you start selling these types of images.
