Travel photography – Santorini – Day One

Since i was a young child I always dreamed of visiting Greece. Something about the white-washed walls, green sea and returning to a place where written history started and evolved always seemed exciting to me.
I am sitting in our villa, Villas of Santorini, in Greece. The city of Megalanchori is on the island of Santorini where I am now. The views from this Island are spectacular. I have to give a special thanks to GW Burns and his photo workshop. All of the models and photographers associated with it are extremely professional and kind. I also have to say thank you to GW for giving me the best room in the 2 villas!!! It is amazing here! The Villa has beautiful hardwood floors and oak furnishings.
I also want to give a special thanks to Lloyd Klein Couture. I have about 50,000 worth of amazing garments with me which I will take great care of.
Yesterday, I was in Athens at a casting session. (I really wanted to bring a couple models from LA or NY but at the last moment I couldn’t find any of my friends who were availl to go! Funny how that works. ) The models at the agency are fantastic and i decided to hire 1 in particular for the job I am working on. Her name is Olga and she doesn’t speak a word of English so it will be challenging and exciting to see the work we come up with. I am sure it will be amazing. Olga flies into Santorini this evening and Eric and I will pick her up at the airport.
Speaking of Eric, Eric Bradshaw is an amazing photographer I met today and we travelled around and scouted locations to shoot in. We stopped and took pictures of this stunning island. Here are a couple…
