I feel suspected every time I go out and photograph.
Anyone know what started the slight altercation with the PCO’s shown at 5:00?
Peter
Well as far as I could tell, the PCO’s were trying to detail a girl and she wouldn’t let them. and the crowd kind off closed ranks and cut them off. One of the guys was telling them to leave her alone so they turned on him, but as soon as the PC came along and radioed base, the PCO’s moved on. I guess their base had told them to stop being daft and sit in the van, which they then did.
There are thousands of CCTV cameras all over London, witch monitor people day and night on taxpayers money, but if people try to film, they are terrorists. Orwellian 1984 police state is on full swing.
That does fit in with something I read ( on flickr I think ) that it was a PCSO trying to stop Simona Bonomo for somthing or other. She’s the Italian student who was arrested by police in the Paddington Basin development after being questioned by a PCSO over her taking pictures.
Peter
Ah, it seems they may have been after her because she had her bicycle with her. If you search Flickr for “Simona Bonomo” you’ll find a couple of pictures and some information.

Don’t get it. What’s up with all the people standing around taking pictures of each other?
That didn’t make sense at all.
its very sad how things are gettin crazy in this world……….losing freedom everyday…….
what bit dont you get?i/the fact that you can be stopped and searched for takeing photographs on the street under the anti terrorist laws 2/the fact that people have had enough of the big brother state3/the fact that there are aprox 10 photographes of bin laden none pre 911 or none after 911 whas he a media invention to create hostility towards muslims4/the fact that you dont get it is the point they who ever thay are dont want you to get it..its all about control do as you are told…..doh..
Interesting video – so many cameras in one place!
Keep up the good work
Lets Rock!!!
That law is just sad…. It’s not about protecting, it’s about controlling. Photo and video cameras are all around, and they are afraid that one of us, might get a still or video of them doing something that is unconstitutional… I really hope we wake up and take back what is rightfully ours. Our freedom.
I guess London isn’t one of my tourist destinations, because I would want to take LOTS of pictures.
