How to Look Like Your One Of The Victoria’s Secret Models
How to Look Like Your One Of The Victoria’s Secret Models.
Here are a few tips to help you achieve your goal of looking like a Victoria’s Secret Model.
1. Workout. Selita Ebanks of Victoria’s Secret fame stresses the importance of working out. “I do a tremendous amount of cardio everday to stay in shape.” She claims to put on Calypso music and dance for an hour or to according to US Magazine. It is important to workout at least one hour a day if you want to have a body like that. Some VS models prefer kickboxing, jogging and jumping rope. If you start to plateau you may need to try lifting light weights or switching from your current favorite exercises to something new. It is very important to develop a routine. I know, its not easy. But you want to look like a VS model right? If you want to look like a couch potato stop reading now.
2. Eat healthy and quit junk food. I say this as I sip on my Diet Dr. Pepper. But your the model, not me. I just take the pictures. No more sweets, fried foods or sugar. It is important to consume veggies, complex carbs and fruits. Drink plenty of water. At least 6 glasses a day min.
3. Don’t cut your hair. Have you seen a VS ad or video? There are a few VS fashion show videos on this site. Watch them. The girls do not have short hair. In general it seems that men prefer women with long hair and this is no exception when it comes to Victoria’s Secret models. As a photographer my number one pet peeve is when a girl shows me pictures of her with long hair and shows up on set with a hack job or different color hair. Don’t get fired up at me if your hair is short. There are plenty of stunning beauties, inside and out, with short hair or no hair at all. I am talking about the rule. You are the exception. Maybe.
4. Buy some new clothes. Throw out your lightly colored 80′s jeans. Darker, fitted jeans are in at the time of this writing. Wear heels. I am a part of the casting process in LA. I hire girls for fashion advertisements. It is amazing to me how many girls show up to these auditions looking half ass. Excuse my French but they do. A huge percentage of them look like they didn’t try. I see these same girls at night and they look like they care. Go figure. I ran into a model last week and we grabbed a quick coffee. She was complaining about how she just came back from an open call at Ford Model Management and they rejected her. She said they didn’t like the way she looked. I quickly glanced down at the sweats she was wearing with her old flip flops and then noticed her bitten nails and unkept hair. That’s what she wore to the open call. Go figure. Dress nicely. Treat yourself to a manicure. A t-shirt and jeans with simple accessories and heels is perfect if you are on a budget. Just look nice.
5. Learn how to do your own makeup. Don’t get overzealous with the eyeliner. Stay away from the hair dye. I can look at your lips and tell you if there is botox in them. Don’t do it. I don’t care what you think Angelina Jolie does. Some people are born with it. I would rather see a pair of thin lips any day than your overpuckered ego. Keep it real. Yes, I know that models do have some help here and there from doctors. It happens. The point is know when to stop. I know you think you do but if your seeing someone regularly you just might not. Be natural. Most of the VS models are wearing push up bras. Be confident in yourself.
