@cat22203 Miranda Kerr is chosen to model for Victoria Secret’s sexy lines! She is the model for Sexy Little Things which is considered Victoria Secret’s sexiest line… Now judging by your name username I’m guessing you’re a girl, and judging by your grammer I’m guessing your around 11 or 12 maybe 13? So obviously you are a young, insecure girl who is ripping on one the world’s most beautiful woman because it makes you feel a bit better about yourself and your body image.
@garydavidstratton her body is not the body of a healthy real-life woman and it should not be promoted by companies like VS exactly because of what you pointed out!: little stupid girls will starve themselves to look skulls and bones like Miranda and they will become unhealthy!

@cat22203 she looks just fine; some people are just naturally skinny. There’s more than one type of body, and I happen to fall in the same BMI range as her- but that doesn’t mean I’m stupid or am starving myself. Sure some girls do that and that’s wrong, but not all skinny girls are unhealthy. Modeling agencies promote fantasy, if they promote regularity, well, then what would be the purpose of that?
@hpallinone7210 well, no because VS is expecting the MAJORITY of normal women to buy their products and fit in their bras and panties and lingeries and that is why they have large sizes, etc. If they want a normal female to feel sexy and beautiful, they need to stop promoting “fantasy” because then they make the normal females that need confidence to feel pretty to feel like shit when they try their lingerie on and they realize that they do not look like the fantasy girl in the catalogues!
@hpallinone7210 Kerr is NOT naturally so thin. I have seen photos of her when she first started, you can research it too. If she does not control her food she will gain serious love handles around her waste and hips. Also if you look at the first VS shows she participated in, you will see that she has meat on her and she looked much better and toned. It’s the last couple of years that you can tell she is starving herself to resemble high fashion models in Paris and get haute couture jobs.
@cat22203 sex and fantasy go hand in hand: can’t have one without the other. If they got rid of the fantasy aspect, their sales would go down drastically, and shallow people like me most likely wont buy lingerie if I see it on an average-looking woman =P. I see them as inspiration. Sure, a lot of girls have low self esteem, and that is terrible. But it’s not any supermodel’s fault- their job is being gorgeous! And I like looking at them haha

The issue is that we, the female consumers who are supporting these companies, should be well informed and educated because we have the power to make these companies behave in an ethical manner and really consumer “friendly.” In any case, I am entitled to my opinion because I have every right not to think that Kerr’s body is sexy or beautiful. She is featured in the catalog and online for the “sexy little things” lingerie line. once again, you dont know your facts.
