Australia’s Next Top Model Blunder With Sarah Murdoch (Pics, Video)
Sarah Murdoch, the daughter of Rupert Murdoch and host of “Australia’s Next Top Model” announced the wrong winner of the popular reality show series on live television.
“Oh my God, I don’t know what to say right now. I’m feeling a bit sick about this. No. I’m so sorry about this. Oh my God. I don’t know what to say. This was a complete accident. It’s Amanda, I’m so sorry. It was fed to me wrong,” said Sarah in a heartbreaking moment of despair.
Sarah was interviewed by Australia’s “A Current Affair” and says “you wouldn’t wish this on your worst enemy.”
One beautiful thing came out of the mistake. Kelsey Martinovich handled the mistake with such grace that Foxtel (the broadcasting company) decided to award her $25,000 and send her to NYC to model as well and Harper’s Bazaar Australia has decided to run two covers. Subscribers will get Amanda’s version in the mail (the real winner) and buyers will have their choice of purchasing either cover at the newsstands.
